Northern New York Waterfalls

Little River Falls

From US 11 in downtown Canton, turn on Park Street and proceed past St. Lawrence University.  As you leave the village, Park Street becomes CR 27.  The first intersection is a four-way stop.  Take a right on CR 25.  You are looking for the second intersection which will be about a two mile drive.  This is the Pink Schoolhouse Road, although older maps refer to the left side of this cross road as the Little River Road.  Take a left and you will go for a few hundred yards down a hill.  The falls is under the bridge at the base of this hill.

Canton Quadrangle

This is technically an unnamed falls located in the town of Canton on the Little River.  They are under the downstream side of the bridge where the Little River Road crosses the river.  Because the property surrounding it is private, it is difficult to get pictures from downstream.

There are rapids both upstream and downstream from this little waterfalls.

The Little River feeds into the Grasse River just south of the village of Canton near CR 25.  The Grasse River empties into the St. Lawrence River in Massena, in St. Lawrence County.
