Colton Quadrangle

The fifth and final significant drop on the Stone Valley Trail as you hike the east side of the river from the parking area at the Colton Fire Hall is an area known as Lucy's Hole, also known as the Gut. It is just under a mile from the parking area and about 1/4 mile beyond the Tubs.

Here a rock outcrop in the middle of the channel again splits the river and a couple of 12 to 15 foot drops result.

The Raquette River empties into the St. Lawrence River in Massena, New York.
