About 2.3 miles north of here on Route 9, you will cross
the river and there is a parking area on the right for Split
Rock Falls. Park here.

Underwood Falls is downstream from Split Rock Falls, in a
northeast direction. Stay parked at Split Rock and either walk
along the road toward New Russia a bit until you hear Underwood
Falls, then work your way down to the river, or you can stay off
road and meander along the river, but the road is easier.
The best view is posted, but there is a spot that does not have
posted signs. The path is in good shape and easy to
follow, 73but it is very steep so use caution.
We have dubbed this Underwood Falls because there are a number
of other waterfalls on the Boquet in this area and it is not far
from that hamlet.
It is estimated that the main drop here is between 20 and 25
feet. There are a number of small steps immediately below
the main section. The total descent is in the neighborhood
of 35 to 40 feet.
The coordinates we have used here are estimates. There
seems to be some confusion regarding this but rest assured that
this waterfall is just downstram from Split Rock Falls.
The Boquet River flows into Lake Champlain near Willsboro, New
York.
