After
viewing
Alder Creek Falls #1, return to the trail and continue up the road 0.2
miles to reach waterfalls #2 - #4.
Falls #2, #3 and #4 are all very close together. There also
was a small but pretty cascade and pond below Falls #2 that
you might want to check out. Off to your left you will see
Falls #2 from the trail but it does require little effort to
get into position for a good photo.
Once you have seen Falls #2 if you look
upstream you will see Falls #3. You don’t have to go back
to the trail but you do have to work around the landscape a
bit to get up to Falls #3.
Alder Creek flows into Schroon River.
This flows through Schroon Lake which joins the Hudson River
just southwest of Warrensburg. This, in turn, flows to the
Atlantic Ocean in New York City directly to Lake
Champlain.
