Middleville Quadrangle

Dolgeville Mill FallsThis waterfall is located at the historic old Dolgeville Mill.  It also is referred to as the old Dolgeville Mill Falls, the old Dolgeville Falls and at one time may have been called Flat Falls.  Although there is now a hydro facility at this location, there is still a small waterfall below the dam.

Distant views of the falls and dam are possible from a viewing area at the mill, although you are no longer able to get out on the bridge there.  Even more distant views are available further upstream from Van Buren Street.  The best views are from the other side of the creek, at a parking lot on Dolge Avenue.

This falls is actually a series of two slides and plunges.  Immediately below the dam, there is a gentle slide into a plunge which leads into the second of the series.

The water from the East Canada Creek enters the Mohawk and Hudson Rivers before reaching the Atlantic Ocean in New York City.
