One of the many unnamed falls and rapids in St. Lawrence County,
this section of the Oswegatchie River is in the hamlet of Fine.
This is being included as a waterfall because there are other
named waterfalls that are very similar to this section of river.
Since it is a prominent section of river and doesn't have a common
name, some would probably qualify it as a rapids rather than a
waterfall. The Oswegatchie River at this point narrows to
just a few feet. The water channels through this narrow and
then turns and goes around a number of small islands.
It can be seen both from the bridge on NYSR 58 and from CR 27.
The Route 58 bridge is within a quarter mile of the junction with
NYSR 3, the beginning of Route 58.
The Oswegatchie River flows into the St. Lawrence River in
Ogdensburg, New York.
