Bloomingdale. Heading east from the hamlet on
3, just after crossing the bridge over Summer Brook the
River Road is on the right. Follow this to the
hamlet of Franklin Falls. Just before crossing the
river, the Franklin Falls Road is on the left. |

There is a hydro-electric
facility run by Brookfield Power at Franklin Falls. From the
roadside you can see the dam below. The foliage, however,
prevents you from having a good view. It appears that there
might be a waterfall below the dam, but there are posted signs
throughout the area and that prevents you from reaching the
river's edge for a better view.
This site is on our list to pursue with the management at
Brookfield to see if we can get more information as to whether
there is a waterfall there, and whether or not we can get access
to take pictures.
