There is a hydro-electric facility run by Brookfield Power at Franklin Falls.  From the roadside you can see the dam below.  The foliage, however, prevents you from having a good view.  It appears that there might be a waterfall below the dam, but there are posted signs throughout the area and that prevents you from reaching the river's edge for a better view.

This site is on our list to pursue with the management at Brookfield to see if we can get more information as to whether there is a waterfall there, and whether or not we can get access to take pictures.

If anyone has any information on this location, please feel free to contact us.

The Saranac River flows into Lake Champlain in Plattsburgh.
