Driving west on NY 73, after passing the parking area for Round Pond and approaching Chapel Pond, there are several pull-offs for the Giant Mountain Trail. Park at the first one on the right just after crossing Dipper Brook.

Elizabethtown Quadrangle

The falls are located about ten yards back behind some trees. There is a trail. This is probably a seasonal waterfall.  Since there is no charted waterway at this point, it may even be run-off.  We have given it this name because it is below Giant Washbowl, which is a pond on the side of Giant Mountain.

The water from this stream probably finds its way across the road to Chapel Pond which empties through Beede Brook to the East Branch of the Ausable River.  The East Branch and the West Branch join forces downstream at Au Sable Forks to form the Ausable River.  This waterfall rich river empties into Lake Champlain in the town of Peru.
